Elderly Care Operators (Kaipoke)
In the Elderly Care Operators Business, we aim to solve the social issue that we face in Japan's aging society: "difficulty in sustaining high-quality medical care and elderly care services," by contributing to "improving the management of elderly care operators."
* We believe that there are three critical social issues that we need to solve in Japan’s aging society, and we have defined four strategic business areas to address these issues.
80% of elderly care operators are small-scale and face management challenges
There are approximately 250,000 elderly care offices nationwide, including home-visit elderly care, day care, and in-home care support, which is about four times as many as the number of convenience stores. On the other hand, approximately 80% of elderly care operators are corporations with fewer than 50 employees, and many of them are facing management issues due to their small scale. In addition to a large amount of time spent on indirect work such as document preparation, there are business and management problems such as a labor shortage due to difficulty in hiring staff, low purchasing power, and cash-flow issues, making it difficult to fully focus on the care for the elderly, and this is a common concern among elderly care operators.
We would like to solve these management issues faced by elderly care operators by realizing the following mission.
We aim to contribute to sustaining high-quality elderly care services by improving the management and the service quality of elderly care operators.
Development of a management support platform
In our Elderly Care Operators Business, we provide "Kaipoke," a management support platform that connects elderly care operators with a variety of management support services.
Kaipoke is a subscription-based cloud platform, which provides one-stop support through various services that help the management of elderly care operators, such as increasing operational efficiency and improving financial conditions. This platform provides elderly care operators with comprehensive management support through more than 40 services that support operations, recruitment, purchasing, finance, sales, M&A, etc., on top of the insurance claim service that is essential for elderly care operations.
Maximizing the value provided through Kaipoke by increasing the number of customers and expanding services
In order to realize the mission of our Elderly Care Operators Business, which is to "contribute to sustaining high-quality elderly care services," it is necessary to provide value to more elderly care operators through Kaipoke, and at the same time, to continuously increase the added value of our management support services.
For this reason, we work to expand our operator coverage to a wider range of elderly care service types in addition to in-home care support, day care, home-visit elderly care, home-visit nursing, etc. which are currently covered by Kaipoke (1), and to increase the number of customers in each elderly care service type (2). We also promote the active development of new services in order to provide multifaceted support for the management of elderly care operators (3) and the penetration of these services through extensive support for our customers (4). By accumulating, analyzing, and leveraging data on the management conditions of elderly care operators, we further develop new services and improve existing services (5), thereby maximizing the value provided by our management support platform.
Realizing elderly care services
By realizing the mission of our Elderly Care Operators Business, we will contribute to solving the social issue: "difficulty in sustaining high-quality elderly care services."
Through our management support platform "Kaipoke," elderly care operators can improve their management and focus on the care for the elderly. By improving their management, working conditions, and working environment, elderly care operators can recruit better human resources and employ them long term. By improving working environments, the professionals that provide elderly care can work productively and with a sense of job satisfaction. Patients and the elderly, who are the end users, can enjoy high-quality elderly care services continuously and realize better lives with peace of mind, supported by good elderly care operators and professionals who work vibrantly at those operators.
In this way, we will contribute to improving the management of elderly care operators, thereby improving the quality of life for people living in Japan’s aging society.
